Survey Instructions
Welcome to the Alliance for Ethical International Recruitment Practices Nurse Survey. This survey is voluntary and will be administered at three different points in time. It was designed to catalogue your recruitment experiences beginning with contracting in your home country and ending after you are successfully placed and working in the United States.
Purpose
The purpose of this survey is to monitor whether recruiters and employers who have subscribed to the Voluntary Code of Ethical Conduct for the Recruitment of Foreign-Educated Health Professionals to the United States consistently follow its principles and guidelines. In addition, the surveys will help us keep ethical standards current.
If you have not received a copy of the Code, or would like to read the Code now, click here.
Anonymity and Confidentiality
The Alliance for Ethical International Recruitment Practices is not a recruiting organization or a governmental organization; it is a not-for-profit coalition of interested parties, many who have different views on recruitment. However, all agree that to the extent that it occurs it must be conducted in a manner that respects the rights of migrating nurses and to the extent possible, the needs of the source country and destination country’s health systems. The purpose of the Alliance is to facilitate the adoption and compliance with voluntary standards that aim to ensure the recruitment practices used to bring foreign-educated nurses to the United States are ethical, responsible and transparent.
The Alliance regards the confidentiality of survey data to be of utmost importance.
Neither government nor employers/recruiters have access to individual surveys. The survey process has been specifically designed to ensure your anonymity. One you access the survey, our secure server will generate a separate identifier for your survey and answers, so employers and recruiters have no way of linking you to the information in the survey, even if they keep a record of what survey key they provided to you. Raw data from surveys is only seen by the Alliance, and no organizational subscriber has access to the survey responses.
Survey Instruction
This survey was designed to allow nurses to report their experiences throughout the recruitment process. Part 1 of the survey should be completed at the time you sign the contract in your home country.
Part 2 of the survey should be completed approximately 6 weeks after you arrive in the United States. The survey system will automatically send an email to the address you provide inquiring whether you have come to the United States. Once you have arrived in the United States, use the link provided in this email to access Part 2 of the survey.
Part 3 of the survey should be completed 9 to12 months after beginning employment at a U.S. based facility. Again, you will receive an e-mail with a secure link prompting you to complete this final part of the survey.
In order to participate in the next portion of the survey, the current section must be submitted. You may terminate your participation in the survey process at any point.
If you have any questions about the survey process, or require technical assistance, please contact the Alliance at surveys@fairinternationalrecruitment.org.
Notice of Confidentiality and Survey Consent

I also understand that data from surveys is only seen by the Alliance, and no organizational subscriber has access to the survey responses.
